Thanks for the Welcome. I am into Landies i use a Disco but i am sorting out a 110 Defender right now ( probably won`t be ready for the spring ) Just been to busy lately trying to get some other stuff sorted out .
thanks for the compliment on the Winches and Compressors . and yes i have done quite a few improvements on the Winches over the last few months and i am really happy with the performance on them . I don`t care how a winch works in California or Arizona etc., I want my Winches to work here in the Mud / water that we have in our part of the World.
Badger when you get the Bumper done i really want to see how it looks on the Grand,

Duncan I remember meeting you when I was towing Scott's(Lorez) tracker home for him at Jeepman's place. I am going to wait until the rear is all cut up on the Zuk before I do it, but I am going to see how much room I will have to put a rear mounted unit in there as well. The M8000 is nice, but if you have something that will work well in the 8-9500lb range I would be interested in having a look!

Hi lost Soul I remember having a chat with you that day. it`s been a while.
Whenever you want to take a look at some winches let me know. the Newest Titan Model is a 10k but it is very compact and it has the added bonus of the nw Sealed solenoid you no longer need to use the solenoid box if you want to remote mount it like this.

There is not much left on the front end of mine to protect items under the hood, so all my electronics including my battery are inside the truck now. I got tired of the electronics for the winch being on the winch and getting in the Crud all the time, so when I solid mounted it, I moved the Control box to my dash!

the new solenoid that controls the winch is totally sealed and the other big advantage is unlike the regular solenoids which has arcing when the contacts close . This solenoid eliminates that so no more sticking solenoids when you need the Winch the most.
My Battery in the Defender is under the front seat but i am thinking of making a box in the rear cab so i can mount a couple back there with a 1500w invertor for 110v power.

Good plan, I am going to go to a 100+ amp GM alternator this year and then install a second battery once I know where there will be room to do it.
