Kids and wheelinI like wheelin more than just about anything else. I felt the need to bring my family into this sport so we could all enjoy it together. I am very happy to see others doing the same and sometimes I'm sure there are more kids with us than adults. My daughter is two and seams to enjoy coming with us very much and I never heard her laugh so loud as when we hit a bump that makes my wife shout. What is strange to me is that when we are going though or over an obstacle that would make me sweat, the kids seem to be totally indifferent. For me its this little rush (or some times big rush) that brings me out wheelin. I often wonder if when our kids get older if they will have no interest in wheelin. Tell me what you think or what your experience has been with your kids.

i think bringing the kids out young will only encourage them to come out when they get older and itll make them more responsable wheelers. teaching them not to leave crap on the trails will keep the places we trespass on more fienly to us. and its a good sport to get into young. learn the basics and build from there. plus stuff like this can turn into a bonding experience. you build your kids first rig before they have a license and its something you can do together little by little.

I've got a 2.5 year old and a 5 year old and both can't wait to go wheelin' in dad's new Jeep. I plan to take them every chance I get. Like Uchi said, I think it'll help them appreciate it more when they get older, as well as appreciate and respect the outdoors better.

Mike mine love it, but at 2 she really has no idea if she should be excited or not over something like that. Mine used to fall asleep on trails that made adults crap themselves. When they get older and they have a better idea, then you will start to see other reactions. My Ex has my youngest scared that I am going to flip the truck and kill them all, but we all know it is safer out there then it is on the streets any more.

mie your daughter is to young to have any real sense of fear!
as they get older and experiance more emotions they learn fear
but starting them young make it harder to scare them later on for sure
cadence has already driven the runner around my house and rides her crf50(with me on it) but she does steer it and give it gas now and i cant start one ofthe dir bikes without her running ot get her fullface helmet
i desperetly need to get the seat belts fixed so i can get cadence out doing more wheeling than in my back yard!

I have had katelynn out on dirt bikes street bikes quads sleds and now were into 4x4ing and woody has let her wheel the sidekacker quite a bit and she has run it through some sick shit without much fear and she is pissed every time she misses a run cuz she has to work.....and the boys R lovin 4x4ing as long as we are rolling along but what a couple of pains in the arse every time we stop ........Katelynn wants her first car to be a tracker or a sammy ......Aint that cool? Ya I think the 4x4ing kids will be in it for life just too much fun to quit.

Now thats the answer I was looking for. I know that girls at the age you daughter is can be a major pain and usually want nothing to do with their family. I am glad to hear that wheeling seems to be a connecting point for you.

I take both my kids my doughter is 7 my son is 4 . They both prefer that the truck be on it's side and my doughter wants my wife to flop it for fun but i won't allow that to happen with them in the truck. Now if i'm by my self it's anoher story HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! . I do love the fact that my hole family is into it and look forward to many family runs.
