Corner gaurds/ rocker rails/ viseDre and I did some fabricating today. I had a small dent on the rear corner, I wasn't going to fix it so cover it up! I bent up some 3/16 mild steel a work, then finished it of at Dre's shop. I still need to paint or powder coat. I then started on my rocker rails. They are 1 1/2 dia, 1/8 wall DOM tubing. I only tacked them for now, I have to take them off to finish welding them.
Dre changed a u-joint for a friend in bobcaygeon with the use of a rock. He hated doing it like that and wished he had a vise. Dre made up this vise/bracket to go into any reciever hitch for doing trail fixes. This bracket comes with a mount for inside Moms Jeep so we'll always have it. I think its a great Idea.
I also got a really good trail kiss while climbing Greens Mountain. There is not much I can do to fix it. "So if ya can't fix it join it"!

That vise mount is a great idea, I have a vise siting at home that is not mounted, I might have to do the same thing! I Love the work you are doing to the Jeep, if I had the corner wraps, I might still have corners HAHAHAHA!

well I have learned that most Jeeps that have corner gaurds, have them to cover a dent not to protect them from getting one.

those rockers are sweet. I would peel the power fist label off the vise though....lol
What does a sheet metal guy need a vise on the bumper for?

This is very true, mine are a little too far gone to just cover I think HAHAHAHA!

The corner gaurds are off to powder coat. I took them to performance powder coating. Funny he has a very nice CJ and everything on it is powder coated. Seems like a good deal 60 bucks for primer and paint in a gloss black. Can't what to see something I have made powder coated, Ratle can paint sucks, it rusts In ten days.

The rails look very good, can you use a Hi-Lift on them? I have similar BDS rails on my Tj and I can, I bet you could.

I got the corners back and man they look good! I used stainless steel pan head bolts, and seam sealer around the whole thing to keep the mud out. I had to run a new ground wire for the CB antana. I just don't know where to put the licence plate and I am not interested in using the stock mount?

Looks really good, you could just make a plug that goes into your reciever and then mount it there when you are on road and remove it off road!
