CarnageWell went out for a little rip with the kid's on the weekend and well cause a little carnage first off went in to a bit of a hole and got stuck so in the attemped to get out i broke the front drive axles so hooked up the winch and at that attemp the mounting bolt's that came with the winch broke causing the winch to twist and ripped it in half. ( edit at a closer look today it broke the case where the mounting bolt's were not the bolt's them self's ) So now i need both front axle shaft's and the winch need's all new case. Have to drop off winch to Duncan when i get time. So my wheeling days are over for sometime now
here are a few pic's and vid
Went to see Duncan about fixing up my winch, I have to say he is one stand up guy. He set me up so good he replaced my hole winch an i upgraded to the 19,000 psi synthetic winchlines. So i'd like to give him a big hand's up for standing behide his products. Cheers to ya Duncan Thanks again for taken care of my winch so fast.
P.S here a few pic's of the new one to drool over
Well got the axles fixed and upgraded to big ujoints an new pinon seal an axle seals also had the clayton frame strengtheners welded in much better now.

Woody and I went to Duncan's place last nite and he told us your winch was busted up good because the mounting bolts snaped.........He seems like a good guy and it sounded like he was planing on fixing her up good as new. They must have frigin power to bust bolts off like that! now I want one.......but I think I would get some gr.9 bolts.
Lets see if woody can bust his now

that's really scary that the winch housing failed. I liked the internals pictures that were posted but if the housing can't put up with it that's not worth much. I'd really like to see Duncan comment on this.

Duncan called the manufactuer and they said they had a run of bad castings so he has to send them back the batch number it came from.

Maybe you missed the part of the mounting bolts broke on one side? I'm sure that the same would hapen to any brand winch out there .......just my 2 cents ................Just looked @ badgers first post and seen that it has been edited and that the casing is what broke sorry Badger stop doing that! I'm way to simple to keep up LOL!

Took the rig over to jeepmansoffroad Alex had a set of front axles with the big joints so he should have it fixed up sometime this week.

Damn man.... I just mounted my 12000 Titan 2 weeks ago... did he give a part number.. I'll have to call him up. So far the only time I've used mine was to pull a nice sized burch off the trail so I could get by. I do like the Titan dual air comp I got from him too. WARNING once you step into Duncans' basement you can count on leaving with more than you came for.... he's got all kinds of goodies down there!

sorry to see that you broke but on the bright side you got a new winch and will end up with a stronger front end. I have a 9500 titan winch (witch is discontinued) when Dre and I mounted it he insisted that we change the bolts to a better grade. I enjoy the titan you just can't beat the price.! Good luck with the front axle.

Looks tuff. We finally bought our Zj but it is "as is" I know that the driver CV is pooched. What are those axles out of and were can get them? Sometime after the weekend I would like to meet up with you and get the tires. Also need advise on a 242 t-case.

I got the axle shafts from jeepmansoffroad here in hamilton. Had Alex install the heavy duty joint's and new seals in the axle as well as weld in the new clayton frame strengtheners.
Give him a call

I believe the axle of Choice is sitting in the front end of your TJ Garin, you wants the solid axles out of something with the 297 Joints.
