rod i wanna let you know its far easier to buy the house and keep the toy than it is to sell the toy buy the house and try for another toy!
and owning a hosue aint all its cracked up to be ask me and AL gillam for reference! stil waiting for my summer to start lol stupid house stupid yard take up all my damn time

yup mike speaks the truth...
trying to find the coin to buy a toy then mod it is impossible... lots of bills and stuff go with the house.. but renting does suck..
hope you end up making a good choice and being happy with it...

In my opinion renting costs just as much as owning a house. So what if you have to cut the lawn its just an excuse to drink some beer. Besides badger built that ZJ bigger and faster than anyone I have seen, if he did sell it how long would it take before he gets ichy and builds another.
"4x4's arn't bought, there built!" Good luck with the house shoppin.

renting NEVER costs as much as owning you just get no equity!
house insurance maintenance up grades and taxes are all extras that you dont pay on a rental! so it sucks up ALOT more coin so building another one takes longer its just common sense sorry
same money coming in+ more money going out= longer build up on projects
when i was renting i was paying 600 a month on this house
now i pay my max mortage at just over 900 a month!(700 is minimum) and i pay weekly as well still have all the utilities
500 a year for house insurance
1550(which is DIRT cheap) for taxes a year
and i have put in 6k plus in upgrades this year along and about half that the year before
so yearly costs for my last year of renting(4 years ago or so)
renting 600 per month totaling 7200
cost this year approx. on the low side to own 12850 with out new windows paint flooring etc
with that stuffi am at over 18000 this year alone! and next year it wont be less it will be more! cause now i wanna change the bathroom add this and that
so 11650 is the difference i spent from renting to owning
11650 i could build a fukin comp buggy lol
so figure i am like some home owners and i dont to fuck all to my house but let it deteriorate. i still spent 12850 as opposed to the 7200 renting
still 5650 more to own than rent 5650 is sitll more than 95% of people put into a rig
this still does not factor in fuel for lawn cutting flowers for the garden to make the house look pretty to stupid neighbors trees i have planted and the 65feet of 7 foot tall wooden fencing i am putting up to keep the wondering neighbor eyes from bitching about my yard
so how is owning cheaper again?

Wow mike, Feel better yet. Sounds like your a little upset. All of that started because badger put his jeep up for sale to buy a new house so that when he comes home he doesn't have to listen to a slumlord telling him to go wash his jeep somewere else so that he dosen't make a mess of the driveway and street. I don't know if that is true but I would rather pay the extra $ to do what I want instead of living under some one elses rules. I rented for about a year and now that I own a house I will never willingly go back. I do agree with you that there are extra costs, I know, I just bought my second house.
Morgage payment, Insurance, taxes, Gas, water, elec, cutting the lawn, maintaining the pool, roof, front window, hot water tank, fence in the back, paint, carpet, lighting, and that is all in the past three months.
A place I can call my own is priceless.
I don't want to see badger sell his Jeep as much as the next person, expecially cause its a jeep.
Sorry to get you going mike, it was just an opinion, can we hug later

i am holding you to that hug you and i want a pat o nthe back to help console me
and my point is that keeping the jeep is easier than selling an trying again! thats all the 7 or 8 k wont make much of an impact on the mortage but to gain the 7 or 8 k back after buying the house gets MUCH harder
and regardless your only renting from the city one neighbor complains and you still have to deal with BS owening or not ask me how i know

Hey,, wait a minute badger, I still want those rear lower controll arms.
I take every thing back I hope no one wants your jeep, lol.
I know I bought the lift without the rears but I am still interested in them. Maybe I should buy the whole damn thing so I will have everything I need!

1,000 acres up there. Man that's sick. Any trails on it? There seems to be every type of terrain up that way, sand rock mud/muskeg or all at once. I just got back from a little ways past Haliburton.

59willysjeep

it does have everything but no sand thats i have seen, there are 2 small lakes, and nice loging roads on the property so you can almost get to any spot on the place. There are a lot of old trails on it also
