Back from madawaska

well I just got back from up north. The craziest shit ever happened. We were going through a mudbog strewn with boulder to an uphill that was about a mile long incline. I got stuck trying to climb a rock out of the mud and up the hill. A friend of mine with a 22r 4runner sas on 38's backed down to help me.
I was under his truck tying up the tow strap to a crossmember cuz he had no sufficient tow points. A brand new braided brake line blew while I was under the truck . The truck rolled backwards and ran me over literally , then 20ft more smashing into my truck. Busted my grille  core support  and only bent a tube on my bumper slightly.  The 4runner rear ring and pinion blew up somehow as well. So, for the 6-7 hr ride back we swapped the thirds from front to rear.  Straightened my hood and core support  with a high lift strapped to a tree. Well , I can say it was a fucking learning experiece in safety and recovery. If on a hill and need to go under the truck either strap the front to a tree or shut her down and leave it in gear or somethin'. Never rely on a hydraulic brake system alone. Somehow I only managed to get two cuts on my back after being run the fuck over.  And remember when you wheel , no hard feelings can be had on either side cuz you're both there for fun and shit does happen right.

what you need to do is get a toyota and actually have 4x4 Razz

sucks though no two ways about it and good thing your ok! but if he has a truck like that and frequently off roads i do beleive its time to make some REAL recovery points cause thats the stupidest part there is no reason a truck like that should require you going under it to tie it off!

Ouch.... I cant think of anything worse that getting hurt doing something just for fun.  Also I cant understand why people think that having big tires is all there is to wheeling..... glad your ok.   Hope you got some pics on this trip!

I do have pics. Gotta wait for my gf to get home from work, she is a Mac tech so she does all the computer related stuff lol.  Yeah I know I need to get that truck goin' Mike. This accident just made it all the more apparent. The cab is swapped and bolted on wiring and steering column is in. Just need to tack the front clip back on and put the trans and t-case back in. Give me a few more weeks and she'll at lest be trailable. But I guess i've said that before. LOL

Man when you told me that at Timmies this morning I was so shocked. I am glad to hear no one was hurt.
