OK they are all up there now. I think what you are hearing Luke is the pop of the Throttle Boddy, but it was running funny the last couple times it has been out, it is breaking down when you get into it. | ||

That little 1.3L is in a Scrap yard, the 38's are to much even for the 1.6L and that is with lots of gear. I would seriously look at a 16V but I am not sure that will even do it. I am thinking that I might have to look at a 22RE or some thing with a little more Punch like a 2.0L or bigger if I want to play in te deep stuff. | ||

you might want to look into a 4.3L vortec with fuel injection very good little motor | ||

2.0 would be sweet 4.3 requires to much extra upgrades! stock toy axles on 38;s will explode! your transmission choices eat balls, unless you can find a good th350 or th400 then your stock sammy tcase is useless cause it will not hold up PERIOD. then you have to look for a good np205 tcase now the down side if the 1.97:1 low range ok you can go to the after market and get a whopping 3:1 gear set now holy low range bat man lol HAHA ok then you gotta find a np203 to make a doubler by useing its low range GOOD LUCK finding a chevy version. i have alot more info why the 4.3 or small block option is not the best option for wheeeling on a budget |

build a 1.6 plain and simple header compression bump head port intake port cam youll be plenty happy with it
those minor things make a huge difference |

2.0L out of a newer style Tracker! I thought about building up a 1.6L but that seems like a waste of money for what we do, I will stick with it for now and maybe if a cheap 16 Valve and computer comes up, I will try that, if not I am driving a crawler, I can always avoid the nasty Mud holes. | ||

I`m glad i went to my 16v, no comparison to the 8v.
although in my opinion it is still to little even for 31..lol 1.9TDI coming up....

Too little for 31's with no gear, but I think it would work with my set up. | ||
