Ardbeg.... Aggggggggg

As a last minute change to my vacation this summer,  my wife and I decided to go to Ardbeg (could not resist the after all the hype).  Because I could not find anyone to go last minute, I decided to invest in a winch.  We went first to Cambridge to drop of the little one with the Grandparents for a few days.  From there we went to see family in Penetanguishene.  This was fun as we found out they had a new Rhino and we go to do some light wheelin there.
The following day we went to Parry Sound and stayed at the Trapper Inn (everything in town was booked).  I talked to Mike the owner of the Georgin Inn and Suites next door and he gave me a hand drawn map into Ardbeg.
We though our stuff in the room and headed for the trail........

I felt like a kid in a candy store.   The day was short as we only got to Ardbeg at 1:30 but still just amazing....... We went back to town and loaded up on supplies planning for the next day.  We manged to hit the trails at 8 and spent the entire day winding in though the land of rock and sand.  We took it very slow as we where alone and the trail was filled with diff busters.  Only needed the winch once to clear a fallen tree from the way.

Yes there are a lot of poser shots being alone but come with us next time and we'll fix that!

I cant wait to get back to ARDBEG!

Cool man. It's the best feeling in the world being out in the middle of nowhere in you're rig, even if you are just takin' her easy. I'm gonna get my fix next week. Goin' to madawaska with 3 other rigs to hit the snowmobile trails.

Nice pictures! The one picture of you walking through the water is where woody filled his tranny with water he was going the other way through the water on the way back out of the trails and he tryed to get out to the rite and it was real deep there and he got hung up on a rock to boot LOL!!!

I laughed when I saw him walking it as well, I thought oh sure the Frog isn't there to check how deep it is so you walk through, I see how it is HAHAHA!

LOL.....you know it Rob.   That picture of woody ass in the air was on my mind, I kept thinking "it looks like he went in a little to the right" as I poked around with my stick. It figures, that looked like the only spot the entire day that had any mud and Woody found it......LOL.  I found one spot that was a little deeper, just past where the trail split to go to the lake.  There was two trails and the one on the left had a ghostly feel as you climbed over submerged  rocks dropping off the other side not knowing how far down you where going. Man it must be nice to just roll on through that place on 38's.  I had no problem on 32's, I even aired down to make the ride a little nicer.  This caused lots of bumping and rubbing on the rails and skids so Id say you wouldnt want to go smaller than 31's.
Other than that some rails and skids and anyone could have a blast up there not to mention all the big stuff that looked soooooooooo fun.  I have some real killer video, the only problem is that I have it on this gay camera that is a dvd recorder and getting it off the disk for editing is a major pain.  I will work on it though.

So who's up for a run to Bob?

Speaking of which listening to "the rain drop" by Chandwick in the middle of Ardbeg is not cool.  Bring music should have appeared in Big T's post "good things to bring wheeling".
