you could probably make that without a plasma cutter.  would take a bit longer.  but ims ure it can be done.  how about fabbing up a heavy duty skid plate for the bottom of the diff cover?

You can use a torch or a cut off wheel and get the same results it will just take a little longer.

I used Oxy Acet to cut out the rings, Just thought it would be easier to use plasma and it would have been a cleaner cut with less clean up.

That should be enough armor for the diff....  the socket caps are recessed to avoid damage..... there is now a 1/2" of plate around the outside which is slightly larger than the diff......a piece of flat bar to protect the cover from being pushed into the ring gear.....  and besides I blatantly ripped off the design from Poison Spider.....

This little project was for sure not worth the time when you consider you can buy this for $125 (probably about 200 in Canada by the time you get your hands on it).  However you do get to say I made that.

dont think its worth the money theyre asking.  its some steel thats been cut, nothing else.  you can probably go to a local shop and bring them the steel with a template and have them cut it for you for half of what theyre asking.  my buddy had some letters cut out of steel and it didnt cost that much.  also try finding a shop with a waterjet machine.  im sure if you check the gta you wouldnt have a problem finding a palce to do it cheaper

Looks good, armour on the Diffs is good even for a good shot on a muddy covered stump you do not see. There is supposed to be a place around here that does water jet cutting (ie) they will do Weld on Beadlocks, but I cannot find them, I have to make some inquiries!
