Im going to brock university, but im front toronto, a long way away from home and all of my usual tools / garage. I was wondering if there was anyone in the are that would help me out with a few rust problems that i have.
All i really need is someone who would be able to cut out the affected pannels so i can fix em up. If you are feeling generous enough, i would really appreciate it if you could help me weld in new pannels instead of me having to use fiberglass. I will supply the beer the main problem i have is a rotted out drivers side fender:
not too big of an area
and also a messed up body mount at the tub. im not really sure what the hell happened here but there is a thin area where metal can be pealed off but underneath seems pretty solid. I am thinking that all i need to do is remove the rubber body mount and grind it down / take a wire brush to the surface stuff and hit it with a good coat of rust convertor, primer and paint.
its a shame because other then these two and some other minor areas the tub is completely solid. I want to get it done before the winter so if anyone is up for it this weekend i would really appreciate it. i will be at the moss meet tomorrow so if anyone wants to see exactly whats up i will be there. |

That fender would be better off replaced, I will price you on an aftermarket if you like. |

You are looking at $150 plus tax for a new aftermarket. |

another thing. I am fairly well versed in professional painting.... my parents own a liquid / powder coatings factory and i could get the paint no problem. The only thing is, It is sort of hard for me to go back and fourth just to paint the fender. is there anywhere around here where i could rent a booth for a few hours? i can supply my own paint and what not, i just need the booth and equipment |

I am a wrecker and I deal with Cross Canada and others. As for a bay and booth to rent, there is the Do it Yourself Garage down on Queenston st. |

Your own Garage did yes, but they have reopened it as another shop. |
